This week was good! We did a lot of
service. Which was fun!
Tuesday we had DDM in the morning which was
awesome! Very uplifting. We set
some great goals for the week and had some great trainings! Then when
we got back, we went and helped move some people into their trailer.
Then we found some awesome new investigators!! They had met with the
missionaries when there were Spanish elders here. And they have been
taught everything. Luckily they speak perfect English, so we get to
teach them!
Wednesday we did some service of the fore
sting variety in
the morning which was fun. Then in the afternoon we had service at a
nursing home sharing bible stories, which was way fun. And Book of
Mormon class after that.
Thursday we went to Chapin to a barbecue
place and helped some elder folk get and eat their lunch. And it was
elder Williamson's year mark that day, so we went to fusion for lunch!
Which is an awesome Japanese hibachi place here in Newberry.
Friday we helped someone move from ridgeway
till about 1, then spent the whole
rest of the day putting in floors with a recent convert.
Saturday we went to a nursing home in
Chapin to help with bingo and a birthday
party!
Sunday was great. Church was amazing. And after church we did some
weekly planning and gave a blessing to a member. Overall great week! Lots of
service!! It was so nice to get out and be helping
people like that. I love you all and miss you tons!! Have a great week!

Week of 8/14
This week was a good one! Tuesday we got to
help someone move into our
apartment complex. They work with a member of our church so they had
heard a little about us and were very grateful for our help. And we
set up to go back and talk with them! So that is very exciting. Then
Tuesday night we went and taught a member family to help prepare their
daughter for baptism. That was way fun! I love the Spirit we are able
to feel when we teach members. It is a nice change from the contention
we normally face.
Wednesday we helped move in some college
students
which was way fun. We live about a mile from Newberry college so with
school starting soon, we are able to meet a lot of people! And it is
very fun! Then in the afternoon we went to a nursing home and were
able to teach a little bit about Christ and it was pretty good! Then
after that we had an appointment fall through, but we were able to
find some new investigators!!
Thursday went to a thrift shop and cut
down some trees in the morning which was pretty fun! And after that we
had lunch with some members that we had helped out a few weeks ago.
Friday we spent most of the day, but we
were able to some service in
the afternoon.
Saturday was great! We did some finding out
in the
country and met an awesome less active member who invited us back.
Then we went in to Irmo for a baptism which was awesome. It was such a
blessing to be able to witness that ordinance. Sunday we went to
church and got to partake of the sacrament which was great as always.
Overall good week! I can't complain! I love you all and miss you tons!

Week of 8/7
This week was good! Tuesday we had a few
appointments. And we invited
someone to be baptized on September 9th and they accepted! So now we
have someone on date for the second and for the ninth!! So excited!! I
love being able to extend this invitation to people. I know the impact
that being baptized can have. I have seen it first hand! They are able
to feel their sins washed away, and able to feel of the redeeming love
of Christ. I am so so grateful that we are getting to help people feel
that.
Wednesday morning we went and cut some
trees and such. It was
pretty fun! After that just finding and such. Thursday we went to a
thrift shop out in prosperity and did some service for them in the
form of yard work and stuff like that.
Thursday we went and were able to talk to a
less active we have been trying to teach. It was
good! He is very excited about the gospel. He just doesn't seem to be
keeping commitments which is sad. When the missionaries extend
commitments it is because they love you! And they want you to be
happy!!
Friday we had a good weekly planning
session that was
interrupted here and there by lessons which was good! And the other
elders put dish soap in their dishwasher instead of dish detergent. So
that was hilarious.
Saturday was pretty low key.
We gave the lesson in relief society on
Sunday so a lot of time was spent getting ready for
that. Then Sunday was awesome! During fast and testimony meeting, some
recent converts got up and bore their testimonies and it was amazing.
The Spirit was so strong! Then we had the lesson in relief society and
we talked about missionary work. We set some awesome goals for people
to hello get back to church and ways to get members more involved!
Overall great week! I love you all and miss you tons!!
