Elder Dowell channeling his inner Elvis as only a southern gentleman can
This
week was good! Not to crazy. Tuesday we had a great DDM and afterwards I
went up to Georgetown for exchanges with Elder Carter. Which was very
fun! Tuesday we went and I got to meet some their investigators and do
some service of the gardening variety which was really fun. And then we
went to teach a less active member and they took us to jimmy johns for
dollar subs which was super good. As always. Can't say I've ever been
disappointed by jimmy johns haha.
Wednesday
morning we were getting ready to head out and we got a call from the
surf side elders saying that they had accidentally planned some service
in the Georgetown area at a nursing home. So they asked if we wanted
to come and of course we said yes! So we went to the nursing home
during the activities hour and helped out! I was on charge of calling
out the questions for trivia haha. It was pretty fun! After that they
all went to lunch so we stuck around for a little and talked with
everyone and got to know some of them and it was great! Then, for
lunch, me and elder Carter went to a KFC buffet. It was only like 5
bucks! So worth it. If you ever find yourself near a KFC buffet, go and
eat there. We spent the remainder of the afternoon doing some finding
before we got picked up to re exchange. It was a really fun exchange!
Thursday
was good! We went to Mepkin in the morning and then afterward we had
the family history booth. We had been doing the sisters would take the
first two hours and then we would take the second two hours. But we
decided that wasn't the most effective way to do that. So this week we
tried having all four of us there the whole time and we took turns
walking around and talking to people. It went really well! We met a lot
of people!
Friday
we had interviews with president which were fun! He talked to us about
our area books and how he thinks we can be more effective. He said we
were doing pretty well and to keep up the good work! So that was good! Saturday we did some service and more finding. And Sunday was great! As always! Church was awesome! No complaints. I love you all and miss you so much! Have a great week!
